Warrior accelerate faster then 400 Ex

The group I ride with is 2 250R's, 3 400EX's, and 1 Warrior. When we "drag", the 250R's lead, then I come in on my 400EX, and the other 2 400EX's are even and hte Warrior isn't far at all. The key to accelerating on the 400EX is to short shift. I short shift and they rev it out. The same may work for your Warrior. Mods you could do for acceleration are smaller tires, pipes, carbs, air intake mods and so on.

I own a '00 Warrior with a White Bros exhaust, K&N filter and holeshots and I also own a '00 400ex with a Big Gun exhaust and my EX totally pulls away from my warrior off the line and in straightaways. Also, the suspension on my EX just kills my warrior. My EX is twice the machine that my warrior is. When we race our machines on a MX track my EX passes my warrior with little effort on the straightaways. The Warrior is long overdue for being updated. You definitely can tell that it is a design that has not been updated for over a decade.
