I just installed my new Elka Banshee shocks on my Raptor.
I originally tried a set of Works from my buddies Banshee, just to see what the effects would be.

The overall difference is the height, It lowered my Raptor exactly 1 inch. I don’t do a lot of jumping, mostly trails. I did notice the difference in ride vs. stock shocks, in ride and handling, especially over rough terrain.

Overall I am very happy with the shocks. The sad part is, that a person has to spend a lot of $$ to enhance what Yamaha should have done in the first place to avoid such a tippy quad. If only they could have put a four stroke w/reverse in a Banshee frame etc.

I not trying to start a pissing match, about what Yamaha should have done or built. I just see a lot of people making the change to wider axles and different pipes.

Check out my Pic’s.

Nice pictures!
In some of those pictures it looks like you've got Works shocks on stock A-Arms. I say that only because the color of the springs look the same as on my Works. The only difference I can see is that your front end came down and mine is still sitting tall.

Am I missing something?

If you are interested, I have a tip for mounting the rear nitro can at tip I think it is better than those cheap stainless clamps they send with the shocks.

Thanx for the info (and pix).
But on the Raptor, they've got
a bracket for the rear can and the
hose clamps don't look to shabby
there.
