Big Problem with Blaster's FRONT brakes
#1
Ok heres the deal. A couple of weeks ago I got a blaster, the first thing I noticed was the front right brake cable was broken, I promptly bought a new one and fixed it, it worked perfectly for a couple of days, but then yesterday when i took it out to ride I discovered the front brakes now do not work at all, I did a quick look over, and everything you can look at without taking anything apart looks perfect. So what should I do? What do you think is wrong with it? How much will it cost me? Thanks all. ANy help is greatly appreciated.

have you tried adjusting them? New cables can sometimes stretch pretty quick, and blaster brakes usually require a bit of maintainance. Is there any Resistance when you pull the lever? Do they slow you down even just a little?

Maybe you should check the cable that goes from the lever to the cable distribution box. I have had that one break on me more than once. Besides, if one cable broke, the others are the same age? Ckeck and make sure the distribution box and everthig in it is alainged properly.

No all the cables are fine, everything is aligned perfectly. I mean when I pull in the brake lever, the brake down on the wheel pulls in but nothing happens. Which leads me to believe it is a brake pad problem, but having just got my blaster and knowing nothing about 4-wheelers up until then im not an expert. So is it possible the brake pads could be worn out.

Ok I have some new information. My "expert" friend decided to increase the stopping power of the brakes by turn the little butterfly nut on the brake all the way, so it was esentially braking the whole time I was riding it, which I assume would wear it out. Now I need to know what kind of brake pads I should get.
