I bought a '00 Griz 600 a few months back. Now I'm having trouble with it stalling out when I hit the throttle hard. It does ok if I ease on the throttle. I know I'm not going to get the quickness of a 2 stroke...but it never hesitated like this before. Do I have a float sticking, bad jets, or does the carb need a professional adjustment? Do you guys have any ideas?

If you don't know the life it's spent it could be any of those things(probably carb cleaning would help the most) I just did a valve adjustment on my fathers. I'd check that first unless its been done recently.

Thanks, It's good to here positive things about the dreaded Raptor. Just got done reading the post on another bad tranny. Ive got trained to overlook those things. I've had nothing but good times on my bike. Also got some add ons that's not on my list.
Shredders (rear)Wish I had Razors
Pingry tank
Block off plate with Kodiak perch
My buddy is still got me beat with a wider axle and offset front rims It's married against single so I don't know if I'll ever catch up!

Hey Sonic,

Thanks for the reply. It had 800 miles on it when I bought it. It now has 900 miles. The best I can tell it was very well taken care of. It didn't come with a manual. The first thing I did was change the fluids and plug. It was running good before I made the changes and it ran great after. It just started acting up over the past couple of weeks. I'm not sure if it has ever been back to the dealer for any maintence with the other owner. What do you suggest for the carb cleaning? Complete take down of the carb or just some carb cleaner run through the next tank of gas? Thanks.

Unfortunatly, the carb repair in a bottle won't work (boy, do I wish it would some times) The carb has to be COMPLETELY taken down and cleaned throughly. Can't count all the times I've redid a carb that someone Said they've cleaned. If you don't trust yourself, pay someone and watch their every move, it's not too bad of a job. Main thing is to have it on large, clean work surface and pay attention where all parts go. Of course, it can get more in depth if you have to adjust floats or such, but I've had good luck with just a proper cleaning. Good luck.
