I was just wondering how fast the newer Banshees go. Dirt Wheels and 4 Wheel ATV Action say about 67-70 mph, but I think this seems kind of slow- I think a Warrior is close to 65 mph. I'm considering a Banshee, no older than '96. If any of you owners know how fast they really are, let me know.

With fmf pipes,reeds & air filter...and stock plastic.....tooo fast.On a dirt fire road the drag from the fenders starts to lift the front end no steering makes for a scarey ride.As for actual speed I'd guess in the 70's I'll have a better idea once the weather breaks and I try a speed run with the GPS onboard.Not as acurate as radar but alot easier to come by.

 

They said in dirt wheels racing on pavement the banshees with pipes averaged 73-75mph with stock gearing.

 

my brothers 96 banshee went 74 on our own personal gun all it had was an K&N stock gearing tires etc i just got a very clean 88 banshee but havnt ran it on the gun yet.
