Do you think that the Yamaha shop is capable of installing the big bore kit & manual clutch mod?

Hey, Im VERY intersted in that manual clutch kit for the Wolverine. I checked the four stroke tech site, but found nothing on it. Does anyone know how much the kit runs, and how it hooks up or anything? Any info would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks!

Rubicon4x4 I would let FST do the work before I would let the local yamaha shop, and I would go all out with the 500cc big bore kit if I had the extra money to throw into it. I wonder how big of a difference a manual clutch would really make. I heard they make it quite a bit quicker. If I'm not mistaken you have to send your bike away to get that sort of thing done to it. I dont think you could order the parts and have the shop do it for you. I would trust the pros. with mine before I would a paid employee as far as that goes. I would also like to know how much the manual clutch and the 500 kit cost and also how they perform.

the manual clutch kit used to run around $75, if I got a wolverine, which id liek to find one someone that ahs oen cheap that needs a little work, I would put the manual clutch kit in it first thing, I'd belost without a manual clutch.

also, one of my friends said he looked up a 500cc kit from FST for his warrior (Same motor basically, the kit works on wolverine also.) and it was in the 300-400 dollar range, this is just word of mouth, i have nothing else to rely on but It sounds about right to me.

Thanks man, but I heard the 446 kit for the Wolverine runs at $650 and i figure the 500 kit would be more, but my guess is about as good anyone elses about cost it seems. I hope it really is 300 - 400, that would be sweet.

I would feel alot safer sending my bike of to four stroke instead of letting a local shop work on it. But I dont think they do that,I believe. Does anyone have any information on this

I ordered dirtwheels back issue of the project 500 wolverine (june 2000) should be here within a few days. I want to get all the info I can. Thanks guys.

I am almost postive that you have to send your bike away to get the kit put on it. If you dont have to send it to them, you could surly have them put it in for you if yo rquest it that way.
