Perhaps it is in my end, I don tknow, but I know that all other off-road sites, ones even way more graphic intensive come up very quick compared to this one..

Guys..there is much more to a fast loading site that processor power. They can effectively run this site on a machine much less powerful that you can imagine.

You need to do a track on your path to them....My guess is that you are going through a hundred or more switches before getting to the server. You can be sitting on the fastest connection in the world...but your connection is only as fast as the packets can get to you. There are bottle necks everwhere on the internet. There is no way to make everyone happy.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I have a cable modem and this site still takes a while to load compared to other sites with more graphics.

The problem is either with the server or the ISP connection on their end. They either host the site themselves and use the server for many other applications, they only have one ISP internet connection (that is different from yours), the ISP connection is slow, or they have a hosting provider than is running other applications on the server besides this site.

I used to work for an ASP that had 170 Mb of bandwidth through direct connections to the nine largest Internet providers (Digex, Sprint, AT&T, Worldcom, AGIS, etc.) and this site would still be slow.

I am starting to visit this site less and less and on a couple others more and more.

I don't know much about modems or prossesors or ISP's or the like but I do know this site can't be beat for the info I get. And I'm sure alot of other people like it as well, heck, look at the hits the popular posts get. Did you guys that have problems ever get on in the early morning? It's like a whole different site. I'm sure the traffic this time of day (night) is the prime time. That's got to have alot to do with the wait. Iv'e checked out other ATV sites, but this one is the RAPTOR of all sites.
