I have thousands of miles on it with no problem with the motor.
I use Pennzoil 10/40W (motorcycle oil) I have been using it since I bought it. My serial number is 3124 something like that. I use yamaha's oil filter.

Golden Spectro 4, currently have 20W/50 but will be switching to 10W/40 for cold weather riding this week. Runs between $6-8/quart. Here is the technical data for the engineers in the crowd or those interested.

I have only used Mobile 1 synthetic automotive. I've had no problems yet, and don't plan on it due to the New Fortin Racing gears going in next week. Also, I've had no real clutch problems as far as slipping goes. From what all the builders are saying, the tranny prob is strictly an alignment deal that is somewhat associated with using reverse. My reverse **** is guarded by Glock! Good luck and send me a message if anyone wants to know how hard the installation is, and/or pics.
