Raptor dyno testing

I have to agree with KingRaptor on this one. Higher octane means it resists pre-detonation caused by higher cylinder pressures, it doesn't mean that it burns cleaner or cooler.
If you say that you can feel the difference even on a stock compression engine, maybe it's because high octane actually burns slower giving the piston a slightly longer push on the power stroke instead of a quick 'pop' that you would get from a quick burning lower octane fuel.

about the fuel. i have a fst 11:5.1 piston and their cam in my raptor. i tried vp green one time. i believe it's around 108 octane. it killed my 300ft. times by a half second. i thought may be i was spinning more since i was on dirt. i walked the track and noticed the perfect tread prints in the dirt where it was normally slinging a good roost. still hoping, i tried it on pavement and no difference. i asked my mechanic and he said the fuel burns slower and he was not surprised.
