When did the Banshee switch to A-arms?

What year did the banshee switch to a-arms. Would anyone not recomend me getting a 89+ banshee?

They switched to a arms in 1991. I have a 1990 banshee with j amrs and i havent had any probs. Im a aggressive rider and like to jump and high speed riding im going to race it this up coming spring and summer

If they built them with the J arms for that many years they should be alright. A-Arms are just a better design overall, thats all.

It's easy enough to modify the frame by adding one bar on each side to convert to A arms if you wind up having trouble with the J arms.
