HAs anyone else thought of making some kind of "scoop" or air foil to direct more air into the snorkle? I remember that my 250r had a small "tunnel" from the front of the bike to the rear airbox. was a little disappointed about the raptors SNORKEL set-up. I took a look at my friends street bike CBRF4i and that has ram air, almost all the street bikes have ram air. I am very curious in anyone has anything close to that for their Raptor.. the raptor intake is nothing more than a rubber boot that sucks in air from inder the Gas tank??? wassup with that???!?!?! At least honda had a cool little tube that kept the airflow cool and the air undisturbed.....

With a ram air set-up, the only realistic way to correctly meter air/fuel would be with fuel injection (like the ram air streetbikes). Example...You could jet for 30mph and 60mph would be way lean.
One thing I have pondered on is a cutting a hole and installing a spring operated door on top of the air box. With a little adjusting on the spring, the spring only allows the door to open under maximun suction. Snappy throttle response down low and enough air for the beast to breath on top + sloppy conditions would'nt be as quite a hindrance.
