Is the clicking vehicle speed dependent or engine speed dependent? It could be a wheel bearing going bad.

I had a similar noise last spring. When I jacked it up and ran it in gear, I traced it down to the lower chain roller. The bearings were gone. When I pull it off, the pieces just fell out. Checked the top one and it was bad also but not like the lower. The lower roller itself was eaten up by the cahin since the bearing would not let it turn. The water had ruined them. The sealed bearings from roller blades are a perfect fit. I have had them in about 9 months now with not futher problems. It's worth a check. Doesn't take long and an easy fix.

ANother source of such noise is the front brake backing plates. THe 10mm bolts can back out and the plate will clang around while moving.
