Has anyone put a Renthal or other brand 14 tooth front sprocket on their raptor. The lake ice is almost thick enough and was getting ready to order one, wanted to make sure it had enough clearance from the case when on the throttle?

Plenty of room. I run a 14 tooth on mine.

Hey garyc660R, how does it pull through the gears midrange now??

How much of a gain did you get on top end???

Mid range is slightly stronger on mine. I picked up about 2 lengths through about 150 yds dragging my bro's 'shee (only pulling 3 gears and 3rd is'nt topped out....he is hitting 6th at the end). With your combo, you should pick up lengths too. Not sure about top end speed.....the gearing is tall and it would definately take a lotta power to pull additional speed in 5th gear though. Pick up a cheap gear at your local shop to see if you like the gearing change......if you like it, then you could get the $30 Renthal.
FYI....the 400/426 thumpers and the 99up 250 2-strokers are the same sprocket. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Just when you tink your done.............I find something else that I NEED. Ha Ha.

I have already purchased the front sproket, but I'm waiting on an billet aluminum case guard. I wanted to do it at the same time. I am also planing on getting me a steering stabilizer now. Cha-ching!! While we're on the subect, did you have to lengthen your chain or were you able to use the stock chain??
