Banshee or Raptor

Banshee or Raptor, which one is the best? How many mods do you have to do to a raptor to beat a stock banshee? I hear from my friends that have banshee's that they kick raptor's butt's all of the time in Glamis. However, their banshee's have mods done to them: pipes, boost bottle, reeds, milled heads, carb work etc. What does it take for a raptor to kick their butt? I am seriously thinking of purchasing a 2002 raptor. I would like to have everyone's input on this before I make a decision. Thanks...

Hellonwheels- a stock raptor beats a stock banshee in a drag. A raptor with a slip-on , pro-design no lid, puts a whopping on a stock shee.
Banshee2k1 installed toomey t-5 pipes, and trinity stage 4 single carb kit and opened the air box. That shee is dialed in right and smokes my raptor now. I am getting a 686 trinity kit in feb. and will be in the front again. How far? i don't know. I thought the raptor was chocked up from the factory. But that dam shee with 1000 in mods flys now. If you want to fly get the shee. I still prefer my raptor over the shee. If i was only a dunner i might prefer the shee. I am old and spoiled, i like e-start, reverse and regular unleaded. I ride with 6 raptors and 1 stock shee until last week-end. I never thought the shee was worth a crap until he woke the beast up. it is a whole new game now.

I would say it all depends on what riding you do.
I bought a raptor and loved it until, I went to the dunes and the 2-strokes rule the dunes.
If duning is what you do, the banshee will rule out there. If all around riding is more your thing, the raptor will fit nicely.
The raptor is a nice bike, but something about those 2 strokes just make me smile.
I am going to be shopping for a good deal on a banshee later this year, so I can have the best of both worlds. On another note, the Ds is a nice bike in the dunes also. I have a pretty new baja and will be riding the dunes a lot on that bike this year and will see how it compares.
