If you are going to go to Black River Falls, then call 1-715-284-1400. That is the number on the back of the ATV Law handbook they give out. I have all the numbers but it's much better if you call the place you are going. When we went up to BRF last fall, we went to Bong Rec Facility {yes the real name} first and they told us something totally different than what they said at BRF. They also said that if you have a current sticker from the state you're from, you can ride without a local sticker. If you are planning to go somewhere else, let me know so I can get the numbers for you. Bong is alot closer to Chicago but only has something like 7 miles of trails. BRF has well over 100, but it's another 3 hours from Illinois.
