I just put some on my Raptor, but I haven't been able to ride it yet. My overall impression is that the Works shocks look to be high quality for the money (much better than the stockers)

Works are great shocks, for a bunch less money than the hoard of big -buck shocks. Be prepared to send any of these shocks back till you get them right. There are so many factors, even riding style, that affect what you really want and need in a shock. Works likes to error on the stiff side. They would rather send you a shock that is too stiff than too loose, so it doesn't bust if you bottom it out.
......As I am writing this my son just walked in the door with a box delivered by UPS. Works shocks for his 660 Raptor. Dual-rate Steelers, no rezzies, 2.8" 240# helper with 210# mainsprings. $329. This is as close to the TCS sag control shocks you can get with works springs. We're going to a secret MX track we found out about tomorrow, I'll let you know how they work.

fourlix ive been thinking about works shocks also,i can not justify spending the extra on the high dollar elkas i would like to have for the type of riding i do,basicly aggresive trail riding and woods.i do like to jump though and tend to drop into creek bottoms alot, basicly jump off of 4-7ft ledges.im 175lbs and was wodering what spring rates you would recomened.also i was looking at triple rates with no rezy.do the tripples ride any better than the duals in your opinion?ive rode a warior with dual rates set up for rec riding and a 200lb rider and thought it rode great, also rode a banshee set up for 170lb rider and agressive rec riding, tripple rates and i thought the warrior felt better both on low speed bumps and pounding through big ruts sideways.i never jumped the warrior big though, but going big on the banshee felt good.your thoughts?

We are headed out in an hour or so. We are going to try The Raptor with the dual-rates, 210# main, with the 240# 2.8" helper, then add the 1.6" 600# which makes them into triples.
