I want to put a k&N air filter on my raptor. The question I have is Must I spend an additional $60 for the addaptor plate or does K&N make a filter that does not need the adaptor plate.I just have a hard time spending $120.00 for a filter set up like on yamahas web site. Any info would be appreciated.

 

Yes - K&N makes a drop in stock replacement that is held on with the air-box lid like the OEM foam filter. rockymountainatv.com has them.
