What kind of gains would I get from an aluminum airbox as to the pro flow kit and holes in the lid? Also who has the cheapest price on a aluminum airbox? Thanks

 

I asked Sparks Racing this question & they said the main advantage is thier box is bigger so there is less turbulance so there is more air flow. The CT box is the cheapest I've seen but havn't been looking real hard. As far as if it's worth the money I'm just going with A Pro Flow & K&N. Not worth $300+ to me yet.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

It might flow more air than the stock box but it doesn't matter since the stock box out flows the air intake capability of the engine. Definitely not worth the money from a performance gain standpoint. You'd be better off modding the inside of the engine (cam, valve job, larger and/or higher compression piston, etc.).

I have one...Graydon Proline makes it....I think the thing is awsome...K&N filter outerwear lid, outerwaer on the filter too.... go to the link and see for yourself....

 

Im running the prodesign kit with the airbox lid on. Plently of air flow and still keeps dry. (also running White Bros e series slip on & dynojet kit)
