Engine Assembly?
#2
I prefer Copper Coat, After many years of building Volkswagen engines I have found it applies easy, seals well, easy clean up on disasembly. Silicones even if applied correctly gets into the engine when the halves are torqued together & squeezes the silicone out. Remember when you wipe the excess from the outside of the case the same amount is on the inside. So if you use silicone change your oil & filter after every couple of rides until you can cut your filter apart & see very little silicone or it could clog your filter.I've never used yamabond so I have no opinion on it. Use Copper Coat or something similar like Gascinch & you will have a good seal & less headaches.
