Going to Croom riding area in Florida. Any advice for me?

Crooms has tons of whoops. There is a hotel next door, Days Inn i think. There is also a Cannondale dealer next door that sells all kinds of ATV supplies. Gas stations and fast food within half a mile. Entrance to Crooms is $25 and is good thru June 02. Park in the first parking lot on the left. They have a big "pit" area for jumps etc. then tons of whoops and also if you go past the toilets they have some nice small elevation changes, maybe 50 feet, to ride up and down. they even have some small mud bogs, again near the toilets. 2300 acres, you can ride all day on one tank of gas and you will be worn out. On an ATV riding the trails 20 mph will be FLYING! Take a compass and if you get lost just head South East to get back to the pit parking lot. They also have a perimiter road. have fun, be safe. Mon - Fri is quiet, Sat more people, Sun packed, except on the trails!

My family has been riding at Croom for about 20 years. It's gone through a lot of changes in the past couple of years. It's all good except for all the damn woops and the 10 mph speed limit on the dirt road. Do you think they expect me to go that speed with a highly modified banshee? I THINK NOT !!!
They used to let people go the whole distance of 3 or 4 miles on the dirt road until someone was killed by a car. On the weekends there are rangers and cops on the side of the dirt road watching speeders, so be careful. Does anyone know if they're going to totally stop letting us ride on the road, because I see a fence running down it now. If so, then I'll be finding a new place to ride. There are alot of good tracks throughout and the elevation changes are awesome. There aren't that many big air jumps unless you go to the pit near the entrance.Overall, its a good place to ride. Please wear a helmet since you never know what can happen, they won't let you ride anyway without one. If you've got a racing quad, and your going on a weekend, you'll probably see me there. I'm the one beating the hell out of everyone. At least trying to. Be safe.

there's only one other place that I know about that is legal. Ocala National Forest lets people ride and I heard it's better than Croom. I've never been there but we were planning on going the extra distance to check it out. I have no idea how to get there or any of the regulations. I'll go before April, so i'll write you back and give you all the details.
