My Raptor smokes when I start it. After I run it for a little bit it quits. I thought it would be the valve seals, but could be the rings or something else. Let me know what u think. Thanks

Sounds like your choke is on when this is happening and it is cold outside.

My Raptor and both 400exs do the same thing (live a little south of you in Maryland).

Your not suposed to use pre mix in a four stroke!!!!But seriously do a leak down it may be time for rings. Then you can go ahead & put that sparks 11:1 piston in!

yes I'm the original owner, and I have approx 2-3 hundred hours. I change the oil around every 8 tanks of gas.

I have it re-jetted, and I have a White Bro's Pipe, and a UNI foam air filter.

it could be the rings never properly seated, this could be due to improper break-in...just an opinion

Any idea how many hours it takes you to go through 8 tanks? If I rember it takes me 3 to 4 hours on a tank but so far I've only been doing trail riding. 24 to 32 hrs seem a bit long to go but mabey I'm over doing it by changing mine every 10 to 15 hrs but better safe than sorry.
