My friend bought a 2002 Banshee. Before he drove it off a 12 ft cliff he was concerned about a hesitation problem. From a complete stop to go there is occasionaly a very slight hesitation before it takes off. Normal for Banshees? I've heard of this before. Never rode a Banshee before his purchase. Its was his 3rd ride out on it. Filters clean, etc. TIA

yes it is hesitent upon take off, that's because they love gas and it takes a little throttle to get it moving, try taking off the TORS system or get rid of that POS e-brake, they also cause problems too! but it can still be his jetting.

That's pretty normal. I have fought this with mine since the day I bought it new. Reeds can help, higher compression head can help. This is the hardest part to tune out of the Banshee.

Most 2 stroke engines are like that. You just notice it more on the Shee because it is a larger 2 stroke engine. It just takes more gas to get it spinning up to speed than a single cylinder engine does. There is twice the rotating mass in the enging v/s a single cylinder.

I also have a 2002 Banshee. His problem is that the banshees have no low RPM power stock so he needs to get the RPM up and slip the clutch.
