Oh and by the way, as far as hillclimbing, both machines do a fair job of that. Around here there's a zillion hillclimbs, so I see every type of bike climb every type of hill. You may have an advantage on the blaster with the better wheelspin, and you can walk it up in first if you have too pretty good. Both pretty good hillclimbers, depends on what the terrain looks like. The 300EX will cut in and dig no problem in most cases, but I'd give a slight nod to the blaster when hillclimbing.

A Blaster a Mojave and a 300ex are all pretty equal machines are far as a straight line drag race. In stock form I believe they all run about the same top speed or with in a mph or 2. Mojave and 300ex have reverse and better brakes. But the blaster can be found for cheaper. I think that an older 250x honda would also be something to look into. They can be had decently cheap and they also run about the same as the others. And for some reason even though the 300ex and 250x have the same chassis but different motors they are suposed to be real close in a drag race and also top speed. The mojave does not have the greatest suspesion.(Nether does the blaster) And the mojave is kinda on the heavy side for a 250 sport fourwheeler. I would say for all around best performance. Jumpng, Handling, Acceleration, Brakeing and Trail riding a 300ex would be the best. Having a Reverse when you need it in the trails is nice. Plus Honda has a reputation for well built well rounded machines.

my blaster is all stock and i can blow the 300ex (which was stock also) away in a straight race and hillclimbing, the blaster also has more suspension. oh yeah that and i have never done anything except cleaning the air filter and i have driven way over 100 hours and i have no problems with my blaster except the tires. the tires that come with the blaster do suck but they work

oh yeah both the blaster and the 300ex were both the same year. and they were both stock as i said above. so if i were you and you were looking for a quad to do nothing but hill climbing and racing and other stuff like that i would go with the blaster but if your gonna take it easy and just go for a little joy ride go with 300ex.

the blaster has more power but for what you describe the 300EX is the better quad. my friend has a 300EX and he does awesome in the trails. the suspension is awesome and it has adequate power. you can kick out the rear end real nice too. as far as io know the 300EX is the more reliable quad from what i have seen. if i had to choose though. i would get a 300.
