well i decided to buy used and i been running into some real lemmons.

i keep getting told these quads are awesome shape and show up to what looks to be rough shape. maybe because its new england?
EX- went to check out a 99 banshee. it had vito pistons .40 over 3 hours supposidly, brand new toomey T5's chrome, 2 into one carb, k & n air filter, new hole shots and itp rims, ac pro pegs nerfs, pro taper handle bars, i think thats it he wants $4500.00 firm says its in excellent shape.

so i drive out there and find a bad a arm bushing, needs a carrier and bearings in the swingarm, the front rims are dented, ac pro pegs are scatched up, frame needs to be painted bad, kick starter is vibrating like mad. its was dark never test rode it. but i asked the guy your firm on this you told me it was in excellent shape? he says i will meet you half way how about $4400.00 ((thats half way?)) so i say $4000.00 he says i got tons of money invested???? i say suck it up i had over $6000.00 in my R and only got $3500.00.. he says nope and i walk... i think my $4000.00 bid was to high anyways.

am i the only one who ever sold a quad for a good deal? i have a pic of my bike i sold you guys would laugh but at the time i had medical bills to pay. but im still looking for an R or EX or BANSHEE local to NE CT..i dont want to travel far..let me know what you have.

evhwg, That is a common problem around here too, If I had a dollar for every guy that said it was in good/great shape... only to find out after I get there it is a piece of crap. Well lets just say I would have a nice bank account. I agree with the other guys, If you can swing a new one, do it. Good Luck.

Well most people that putmoney into their quad want to kep it looking good and when you buy used you can get a good deal because of all the aftermarket stuff. Just have to keep looking and jump on the good deal when it comes along.
