Handle Bar Bends
#1
Hey guys it's time to change the bars on the wifes warrior/the trail machine. i actually ride this more than her.
The stock bars suck. they sweep in towards you. and tend to get in the way when you have to make a sharp turn.
i currently run with Tag CR low bend on my Raptor and love the change. For thw warrior i'm thinking some thing that hardly/mildly sweeps back...yet also is high enough to clear my knees in sharp turns.
would that be CR high bend. does anyone ride with the 400ex bend. any opinions will be appreciated.
Also, my ITP XCT's came in. i had them mounted on douiglas 190's with the raptor offset. i did that to widen the warrior. plus, if i have to take the Raptor in bad country i can mount these bad boys on. anyways, while i was at it. i added my stock raptor shocks to the warrior.
result: success. the front is a little narrow but i have lots of travel. i'm thinking about adding 1"-1.5" wheel spacers to the front to correct. the tires are night+day diffrence. i'm not exaggerating...BIG F'N DIFFRENCE. no-more side to side roll, they hooked up on everything...rocks,ice,wet leaves, mud. i expected the ride to be alot rougher with out the stock balloon tires. but it actually seemed calmer and more predictable.
It's always feels weird when your accustomed to the way a machine rides. and then you change something. it handles better but it's still not what your expecting. weird.
i also filled them with $1000 worth of slime. that stuff is majic in a bottle, but they rape you for it.
Please help with the handle bars!
