When 4 Wheel ATV Action did this test in the new issue Honda had to pay them to say what they did. Cause in almost every test the Big Bear kicked butt and the Honda always fell into second, but for some strange reason the Honda Rancher which didn't win in much was still declared the shootout winner. Thats bull lots of bull

idunno ive heARD SOME good things about the rancher, like 4+4 limited slippage, gears on handlbar proved to be good as i have read in articles, and the snorkel in take engine thing is good, and the toughest 4+4 drive.. and the didgital stuff on it looks good to me.....one thing is the cc's and the tires tht stand out to me, but i have a 2000 bigbear 400 2wd and its good i dunno bout the 4+4,but i bet it awesome like u said!

I own a 2000 Big Bear 4X4 and I've ridden my friends 2000 Rancher and I honestly believe that the Big Bear is more advanced, and just more fun to ride. The Rancher is a good quad, but I think the Big Bear is better.

I would go with the Honda or Yamaha. I know a guy who's dad owns a Polaris dealership, and he says he wouldn't own one except that he gets free parts & labour anytime something tears up on it. I have another buddy who has a Sportsman Polaris and it sits in the yard while he rides around on his Kodiak.
