I have 3 01 Raptors and have not had a problem with any yet. My serial # are 00777, 6300 and 12000

 

I've been watching the serial #s of threads for blown raptor trannies, and I've not seen any higher than 12,000.

Anyone disagree?

PS: My s/n is over 19,000.

 

My 01' was one of the first Raptors in Canada. It is serial number 133. The only problem i had so far is a carb popping off. I fixed that with the proper jetting. Other than that it has never let me down on the trail ever ! If my tranny were to lock up tomorrow i would simply put the Fortin Racing Gears in. I know lots of guys racing 01s on the ice racing circuit and they have had no problems with any of their trannys. Don't abuse it and it will last.

 

Remender that when yours breaks!!!!!!!!!!!!
