Dyna Ignition and Delta V-Force reedvalves for Banshee?
#2
Back when I had the shee.. I ran the delta v-force II reeds.. very nice, and worth the price..
If memory serves me correct, the Dyna ignition uses a battery that must be recharged every so many hours for it to work. I stayed way far away from this, I want to ride all day, and not have my Ignition running off some damn battery (I might be wrong here).. in the short I know nothing about this, I always used the stock ignition and a timing advance plate (worth the money)

Just this week, I tried to take the cheap route out and put the stock reed cages back in the 'shee, instead of spending the $130 to replace the petals in my Delta 2's. Talk about the drop in the fun factor!
Just to show you what my opinion of the Delta 2's is - I'm expecting the new petals today.

I am going to do the same mods as you in a few weeks. I have the dyna ignition already and I am just waiting for the FTZ carbs and the delta reeds to arrive. I went with the preprogrammed version of the dyna ignition. The best price I found for this unit is at pro-flow. You can use all of your stock components and it doesn't use a battery. If you have your timing advanced they recommend setting it back to stock setting because the cdi box does the advancing. I will know in a couple of weeks if it is a good mod or not. I was having some serious starting problems...hopefully this helps...but it was probably the junk stock carbs that were giving me the hassle.
Let me know if you have any other questions....but keep in mind that the literature they send you with the product does not go into a lot of detail and the techs that I have talked to are not as knowledgable about the product as I would like. I asked if there was a rev limiter....the tech covers up the phone and yells across the room "Does the Dyna FS have a rev limiter? 10 second pause......Yeah there is a limiter. At what RPM? 10 second pause....At 16,000 rpm" WOW....I hope the motor doesn't blow before that happens I thought!!!
