I agree, go with a Bar that is a little higher quality. I really liked my Pro Tapers on my CR. Never bent them and I laid it over quite a few times. I think if you want a tall bar, try and get a Quadracer bend, if I remember correctly, they are taller bars.

I Run Renthal CR 500 medium rise on mine ...you also have to think about what you want to have on your steering stem ...do you want to keep the stock housing or go with an aluminum handle bar clamp? you have to get a higher rise bar to clear the stock key/idiot light housing...even with my medium rise bars you can't get the pad and stock housing on at the same time and still have the bars where you like them , but with the UMI handlebar clamp I have, you have no problems with clearance ..you may even get low rise bars on there with the pad and aftermarket clamp

The trottle cable may have to rerouted to work with higher rise bars. I know my buddy with lonestar steering stem had problems. the cable is pretty short so I would keep it conservative..

Hey RAPTRMAN - can you provide me with a pic of your bars? I have the '01 Raptor and the bend is different from the '02. Which one do you have? Cause I want pretty much the same bend as what I have now but with the crossbar too.

sorry eraptoid I don't have a dig cam or scanner but they are just the same as the stock with the cross bar. I had my 01 raptor stolen and I now have an 02. They seem to have the same bars. Sorry I couldn't help more.

I'd like a bar that is a little taller, slightly wider, uses the stock size perch & no crossbar.
Which bar would I need?

Hey Moose, get the protaper bar with the high rise bend. I go the CR hi bend and no problem for me. it pretty comfy for me to ride w/ that bar.
In my opinion it the best bar you can get.

I have the Trail Tech computer & lights mounted on my perch & want to use the same one.
