CT pipe???
#11
N0 i wouldnt have gotten more HP with the sparks. I have about 61 now with the CT setup. I have way more low end than I would have gotten with the Sparks plus alot faster to get it built.
You wouldnt stand a chance w/ your slip-on.

I know I wouldnt stand a chance against your bike; and 61 sounds much better. With a worked bike such as yours, you need a larger headpipe for horsepower and torque.
They were estimating that the sparks bike was putting out around 70 HP from the 4 stroke wars results and how it did against the Knutz 703. I bet you would add a good 10+ HP from updating your carbs to FCRs like the Sparks bike has. With 13:1 compression you may add even more.

So what setup is the one that produces the 48-50HP. The disks or the regular non baffle setup way. I have mine on order and want tyo set it up for maximum HP when I drag race. Also is it easy to switch to the baffle setup when playoing around?

your exhaust setup is only as good as your intake, tires, and gearing. CT shined in the shootout because they had the best intake (funny the torque curves were not published). I got the same results as Charlyhorse and spanked many CT, Alba, and others in sand drags at Glamis. I tried changing my tires and got spanked myself. Changed my gearing and did even worse, but went over to Oldsmobile hill and kicked ***. I would say jetting is the key ingredient in Raptor performance no matter what pipe is used.
