I just bought a used Raptor, although it is practically perfect, I noticed it only starts in neutral. My friends will start in any forward gear with the clutch pulled in. Does anyone have any idea what controls this?

On the stock clutch lever with the parking brake assembly, there are two sensors that are activated by the clutch lever. One is the parking brake sensor (applies a rev limiter when the parking brake is set), the other is the clutch position sensor for the e-start system. The p-brake sensor has both wires running into a single plug, if you unplug this, it disables the p-brake rev limiter. The clutch position sensor has individual male-female plugs for each wire. If you unplug that sensor and plug the leads from the quad back into each other, the e-start button is now live and the quad will start in gear or neutral with the clutch in or out. Since you bought the quad used, did the former owner get rid of the stock lever assembly and parking brake setup and put on an aftermarket lever? He may not have realized that the clutch sensor needed to be plugged back together like I described above.
