Worst Mods... If you could only send it back..

I've sent back some pipes that were too loud, but I sure wish I hadn't bought these DG nerf bars for my DS. They are huge, like some kind of loading platform, and I've already bent and scraped them up pretty good. They fit crummy going on, and they look stupid.
I wish I had bought the AC racing nerfs.

Speaking of DG....
I bought a swing-arm skid plate from them. When I went to install it I noticed it wouldn't fit with the trailer hitch, but I figured I'd do a bit of cutting and get it on there.
After dinging up the plate on a few rides I break out the grinder. I cut a bit of the hitch, then a bit of the plate. The long and the short of it is that by the time I get them both to fit, one or the other is going to be weakened to point of uselessness.
So, I'm starting to that that DG sucks. I should went with the PRM plate.

FMF pipe kit from Alba with torque stuffer, main jet, and K&N. First, they were supposed to ship 2 day air, sent out ground instead. When I called to see where it was, they said they could overnight one so I would have it by the weekend. Sounds good but I had to pay the difference in overnight versus 2 day but I really wanted it for the weekend. Put it on Friday night (no instructions came with anything), took it for a ride, and it was the same as stock, but alot louder. I've been running this set-up for about 6 months now, screwed with the jetting, and it still runs the same as stock. No difference in power whatsoever. They told me it would be slightly louder than stock when running the quiet core, not true. Next quad will be left all stock.

PRM desert bumper...First they didn't send me the spacers to mount it(which in itself is a terrible design). then when i did need to use the bumper. three bolts sheared off and the crazy v cut came in and creased my frame. To bad. it looked trick.
if you are using a PRM bumper and it has that V cut on top of the supports. i would strongly recommend taking it off. it caused more damage than if i didn't have a bumper on at all.
I took pics of the damage and even offered to ship the bumper back...if they were interested in product research. No thank you. The chick that answers the phone over there is a trip. I still think there skid plates rule.
Just be careful what you bolt on. Some accessories are too strong. There are parts on a quad that are meant to bend/break...saving another more expensive part, it may have been connected to...you
i hope that made sense?

DG swingarm skidplate cracked apart within 1 month.
Agree with Raptor660RNH, don't strengthen components if you don't need too. I learned my lesson with trick billet tie-rods. They didn't give; therefore, my tie-rod end snapped once and I screwed up my wrist twice. Now, I like the stock metal ones that bend.

I can sympathize with all you guys. Anything I ever bought from DG never fit without some modifications. The worst thing I every seen was DG's A-Arm guards for the Mojave. As design, you can't even come close to installing them. It took an hour in a milling machine at our machine shop to modify them to work. Now they look pretty trick but I have to wonder if it was worth the aggravation!

PRM rear skid plate for brake rotor/gear area. When I called them they did not seem too interested in what the problem was. They sent me the wrong bolts several times and did not seem that interested in solving my problem. You would think that theywould know which bolts I needed. you would also think that they would be interested in figuring out which bolts to ship so this would not happen with their other customers.
I finally gave up trying to get the bolts from them and bought them at the hardware store. After I had theright bolts, installation was easy.
They su*k.

A friend bought a DG Aluminum grab bar for his Raptor and has broke it twice. The first time was by strapping it down with a rachet strap. He got it welded and wheelied to high and broke the other side. He wishes he could have sent it back, its just to weak.
