Is the baffle I hear everyone talking about the round thing that you see if you remove the spark aresstor and shine a light inside?

The thing right in the center of the pipe?

How do I cut it out.

If you're talking about the thing in the end of the muffler that you remove the chrome trim (3 bolts I think) & then one bolt (from the bottom) & pull it out (it's about 6&quotthen no. The spark arrestor is also the baffel. The round perforated pipe you see in the center of the exaust is the exauet pipe surrounded by the muffler packing material.

I didn't think the stock pipe had packing material. I saw a cut away of one and there was none.

Ok so at the end of the spark arrestor there are like twisted torpedo metal flaps is that what everyone removes to get more flow or what?

I'm still unsure what to take out beside the whole Spark Arrestor.

Thanks for the reply MOOSE

What you have out already is what everyone takes out for more flow.

If your quad is stock you'll probably need to rejet if you leave your baffle out because Yamaha jets the Raptor on the lean side from the factory & removing the baffle results in more air flow & leans it out even more. A Dynojet kit is highly recomended along with a Pro Flow adaptor & filter.
The Dynojets are a diffrent design jet & needle & have proven to increase HP on a stock Raptor. The Pro Flow adaptor & filter is a much better design than stock. It uses clamps to secure the filter instead of the lid.

You can get both of these for around $200. I believe it to be a good investment.
