I am looking for a new sport quad and I am considering buying a Banshee that has T5 pipes, mild port and polish, KN filters with no box and some other motor mods. It has chrome swing arm and chrome a-arms. has Billet side cover cases and other really good parts. Very nice show bike. I currently have a Quadzilla and really like the power of it but want something different and more of a show bike. What I am wondering is do you guys think I would be disappointed with this bike compared to the new cannondale moto or one of the cannondales. Also how often is it recomended to rebuild a banshee.

It sounds like a nice bike and yes it will be up to par with the new quads, One thing that bothers me is the lack of a air box, Clamp on's are bad news if you ask me but I guess it all depends were you ride. As far as rebuilds I have a 2000 and it just now needs a rebuild but I RIDE ALOT.

What year and how much .. It sounds like nice quad & I don't think you would have any regrets with it because so many things to do to them..But any new quad good choice depending on where you ride..Good luck..Digger

I ride mostly dunes with some little mx and sand pits. The bike is in great shape with little ridin on it and it is at 30 over. Askin $7500 for the bike. With no box will I be all right in the dunes and the type of riding I do. I will not be in the mud and very little water.

~~ $7500 for Banshee it had better be very nice & 2001 or 2002 thats seems a little on high side but if you have to do all the same stuff adds up fast...just my .02 cents ~~ Oh yea on filters just keep clean outerwears with you for more than 1 day ride I would have clean filters to exchange w/dirty ones, that is just me though..

That was what I was thinking too. When a brand new Banshee costs, lets say, $6000 then you had T5 pipes, Motor work, all the billet aluminum both side cases, chrome A-arms, chrome swing arm, sand tires front and rear , dirt tires front and rear, laser star lights, carbon fiber tank cover, etc. etc. As you can see it adds really quick. I am not sure you will be able to find this clean of quad for less. what do you guys think. Thanks jeremy

What year is it?

I have seen some mid 90's banshees with pretty much all the same stuff you are taking about going for about $5000.

Not sure, if it is newer it might be worth it. But if I were going to spend $7500 I think I would be looking at a cannondale speed.

Not to say that is a bad bike, but unless it is a 2000-2002 then I wouldn't buy it for that price (even then I would probably have to be near drunkness to go through with it).

Yes, you are right that those mods cost a lot, and if you were to do the same you would probably be close to that price. Remember, you can pick up a new one in the mid 5's. That gives you about $2000 to work with. If you match what he has done, then you may go a little bit over that but at least you know what was done, where it was done, and that it was done right.

It's your money so you can do what you want...If you are looking for a tricked out Banshee and this one meets your requirements then go for it. I'm just telling you what I would do if I was in your shoes. It would take an awful lot to get me to pay more for a used quad than if I was to buy a brand new one.

Anyway, take care.

-Josh
