Advice to all who have a shaft driven quad:
Check to make sure your rubber boot isn't torn. If it is, replace it sooner than later. Talk about nasty crud that starts eating into everything.
It is a pain to replace but here is my process:
1) Jack quad up to relieve weight from rear of quad
2) remove both rear wheels
3) remove lower shock pin (held into place with a cotter pin)
4) remove both floorboards
5) remove rear brake caliper and two places where brake line is connected to swingarm
6) remove breather hose into rear differentail
7) remove both swingarm bolts
8) take swingarm and rear axle from quad
9) clean up the universal joint, driveshaft, and down inside the swingarm area. An air nozzle helps to blow the dirt out
10) reinstall
