Frogman~

Lsnake said it. It does fine for what you're describing. If alot of mud riding is in order, I would go with bigger tires, and put wheel spacers on. I put 25" tires on the Beartracker for the son, but w/o wheel spacers, it becomes to tippy, so I took them back off until I can make a set myself for it. As for power, my son 15 years old, 6' & 210 pounds, and it does great with him.

thanks guys... will let you know if he gets one... he is still "working on the wife". He offered that whenever that i wanted to go on a ride and my wife didnt, that he would be available to ride her bike.....i just told him that i only let him ride her bike to see the fun he was missing...hehehe...i dont think that i want him to just RIDE ours, cause i would never get him to buy one! Hope i made sense...lol

Frogman~

You made perfect sense. I'm kinda picky when it comes to that. I'll always let anyone test ride my quad, but that's a "test" only. My wife & kid's each have their own quad, and we do go on rides w/family members, sometimes w/o all our kids. Their quads are theirs, and not "loaners" so if they aren't riding, they're sitting in the garage. It's caused a few bumps amongst family, but hey......

Well, in all honesty, i am just letting them "test ride" so they get hooked and wanna buy one...hehehe

My wifes family is 17 strong and i figure if i can get just half (with wives) then we should have a pretty good riding crew! I am really big into camping and fishing/hunting. I am new to our area and i cannot even expain how much like heaven this place is to me. If anyone ever comes my way.....HEY i will get ya out and show ya a good time! Leaving tomarrow AM for a ride. Lil bit of mud, pits, and hardpack. Gotta love the U.P.!!!!

If you can get your wife's family to get into quads, it will be great! Heck, 17 and you're an atv club.

Our family is kinda big into quads. Between us, my wife's family & my family we have 22, and when we get together, it's a pack! Brand breakdown is as such:

Arctic Cats: 8
Yamahas: 4
Kawasakis: 1
Suzukis: 3
Hondas: 2
Polaris: 3
Jehms: 1

wow, that is quite the pack you guys got going. I wish i had that many people when i go riding. We usually only have about 3. but it is fun either way. i am thinking about joing a club near me, they are supposed to have 1500 acres for riding and it only costs $35 for a year. sounds good to me. this way i will get to see other models and brads in action.
