How fast does the wolverine go? If it goes as fast as im hoping it goes im selling my foreman for one... the foreman doesnt go fast enough for my tastes... how come all quads dont have a 6th gear for roads? and itll be really wide and itll give you like a 15-20mph gain? i know it sounds weird but you would really gotta stretch 5th gear... top speed for the wolvy?

My stock Wolverine goes around 54 with the GPS checking it. I now have a White Brothers E Series exhaust, ProFlow Filter, and rejeted. I accelerates faster and now that I have 25 inch tires on it will have a little more top speed as well. I have not had a nice day to really let her rip since I rejetted it a little better with the new tores on but it should go almost 60 but I don't really think anymore than that.

Since the gearing is not changed the performance parts will really only get me to my top speed faster but not make the topend any faster. I will gain some speed just because with the bigger tires on it will in effect change my gearing.

Sometimes a 6th gear would be nice but the Wolverine gearing seems to be pretty good for almost all riding. I just wouldn't put on super agressive 25" tires so not to take any power away. I have the Maxxis AlTracs and found they get great bite and didn't really steal any of my power. I did get more ground clearance and a much better ride than the stock tires. Also I don't get anymore flats like with the stock tires.

I was looking to maybe get a 02 Foreman S and if you lived here in Pa. would could maybe get together to try each others out. I do alot of slow trail riding and since my brother has a 02 Big Bear I was thinking of getting something more in the lines of what he has. I did look but the dealers didn't want to deal at all and after a great ride this weekend on the Wolverine I found out this is the machine for me without anymore doubt. I have tried alot of bigger machines but I like the smaller size and overall performance of the Wolv.

I rambled some so I hope this helps you out some.

Stock Wolverine hits a top speed of 58mph radar verified. The speed may vary depending on the condtions. With my mods I run over 60mph probably close to 65. There is some truth to saying that since you did not re-gear it that mods will only help you accelerate, but the more power you have, the faster the motor can turn that gear. With the stock gearing and adding just a pipe you won't add but maybe 1 or 2mph. When you uncork the airbox you will add a little more. I have heard that it is possible to re-gear the wolverine by using 4th and 5th from a Big Bear for more top end. I am thinking of asking Mickey Dunlap about this.
