What would be cheaper?
#1
My bro's 2000 Big Bear came off the trailer about a month ago and tore the front driveshaft out of the differential. The internals are all still there except for maybe a bearing or two. The only problem is it ripped off a chunk of the differential case. I was quoted $99 bucks for a new case and $475 for a salvage front diff. I can:
1. buy the salvage diff. for $475
2. take the $99 case(maybe a bearing or two) and try to put it back together myself
3. take the $99 case and let my dealer fix it
Wich one would be cheaper. How much would you charge Knowsalot. Coming to Memphis this weekend and would love to meet a forum member especially for a cheap fix.
