Anyone else have an exhaust "whistle" (or squeak) Seems to be loudest when at idle and esp. at shutdown. Any ideas whats causing it?
Thanks for all info.

I think I know what your talking about at shut down. Mine has a couple of hard raddles and then a pretty load squeel. I don't know what it is but just figured it was the clutch coming up againest the belt. But like you say at first I thought it was the exhust but I don't think so now.

ye i have the same thing. it does not happen all the time though, only when i am riin it hard and shut down. It is not a problem i would just like to know what it i so i can explain it. I thought is might be because the engine is so big it has some kind of "rundown" or something. probably not though, that is what i tell myself. lol.

Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. It coincidently started to happed just after I got the belt wet. So I started to get kinda worried and took the cover off the transmission to make sure the was nothing wrong. When I did all of this, and found nothing to be wrong, but it still making this terribly annoying sound, i had to investigate. After a couple of minutes trying to pinpiont the source, I notices that a bolt was holding the muffler on was loose. I haven't had time look further into this, but I plan on looking more into it this weekend.

My Grizz 660 runs great but I have also noticed a bit of a screetch when shutting it off (not all the time though). I haven't noticed anything while in idle but if I give it a high rev while in park, I sometimes hear that too. I don't think its a big deal but if anyone finds out different let me know.
