Looking at a trailer, how much is it worth?
#1
I was looking at a trailer down the road and the guy told me to make him an offer. it is all pressure treated decking with raling that wraps around the whole thing.
it has two "gates" on it that fold down to drive the quads up on and fold up and lock in place once they are loaded. the deck is 7 1/2' x 11 1/2'. the wheel wells are covered. he says it easily holds two quads of any size, and maybe three if you move them around a little. aready has the hooks in place for straping them down. he designed it specificaly for quads.
it looks solid. how much is it worth?

I paid 700 bux for a 6x12 open trailer..single rear gate, covered wheel wells, but no additional tiedowns, I may get the welder to put some in, as well as a side load ramp, if it will fit, the thing here is there is a max width in FL that a trailer can't be over 82" or something, I forget the exact width..mine is 6' 4" inside x 12'4", PT decking, 15" tires..it sounds like a nice rig..but don't expect your milage to be the same in the tow vehicle..mine sure dropped..

$700 sounds like a good price for a brand new one, you should go from there. I built one from scratch for one quad and a tool box for $350. All parts were brand new, this also included paint, welding rods, rims and tires. I used expanded metal for the floor so I don't have to worry about rotting wood. I also got to build it just the way I wanted it. If you don't no how to weld try it, it might take a while to get the hang of it but it is not that hard.
