Carb problem?
#1
Well i just rebuilt my blaster it was running fine for about an hour then it wouldnt hit powerband. So I took the carb apart and found some dirt laying in the bottom of it. So I washed it out and slapped it back on and it was fine and it was running awesome. Then all of a sudden it started idling very very fast. ALmost full throttle. SO i cleaned out the jets with carb cleaner this time and checked if the throttle was sticking and it wasnt. SO i put it back on and it sat there and idled for about 5 minutes then did the same thing again. I cant see what the problem is. I am thinking the float might be sticking. Should I take it to someone that knows what they are doing with a carburetor? I hate messing with them I am always afraid of messing something up. I cant figuire out what the problem is. I am thinking it is a piece of dirt thats cycling around in there.

A leak allowing outside air to get into the motor will lean it way out,and make it rev much higher, since it happens after it warms up,look for something that would expand a lot after it heats up, possibly an intake warped,or even an exhaust leak will cause a bad lean condition, and make it rev out of control. I'm no 2 stroke expert, but I know those are 2 of the things that can cause your problem.
