YZ Style rear shock?

I remember reading the '02 Raptors have a "YZ style" rear shock? Does this improve handling/jumping characteristics? Whats different about it anyway?

The YZ style shock on the 02 Raptor has a piggy back resivoir. While the 01 has a remote mount resivior. That is the only diffrence.
