I love my E-series pipe. I also have a jet kit and pro design filter and I could always get a hole shot on my buddies that have a pro circuit or similar pipes but look out when the get in the high rev's because there coming after ya! The pipe is un real down bottom but does lack on top end but I fixed that with a better cam and a 11:1 piston. I also like the way it sounds, kinda deep sounding not so blatty. I am going to start experimenting with dics as soon as I get it back from the tranny upgrade.....waiting on partsonly had about 2 hours with it after doing cam and piston before the tranny brokeanyway if I can answer any questions for you let me know!

I'm running the "e" series on mine. Also have the K&M and jet kit. It has really made a big difference in performance. power/torque is great all the way through. I have also heard good things about yoshi and Bill's pipes as well.

How many hours do you get out of it before it starts getting obnoxiously loud? Do you just repack it with fiberglass insulation, or is there a special packing you have to use?

I believe 25-30 hours are recommended before changing the packing material. I suppose fiberglass packing would work, but packing specially made for silencers will probably perform longer and quieter. The "silent sport" packing is supposed to be a good choice....have'nt tried it yet though.

I've had mine for almost a year now and love it. Made a huge difference in throttle response even before I put a K&N in and the jet kit. It fit real well also sounds good. If you want it to be loud it will be when you really romp on it, but at the same time if you need to go behind some houses towards evening or some other time when noise is an issue, as long as you don't rev it and lug it in first or second it is relatively quiet. Much quieter then the super trap and cobra that that my girlfriend and brother run on their 250xs.
