I want to open up the air box on my Raptor alittle but I ride in very muddy and dusty conditions so I have been a little bit hesitant to. Has anyone put these in thier airbox. Do they look like a good idea?

The 1" vents work just fine. But be careful going through water. Don't worry about mud or dust.

I put 5~1 inch uni venys in my Raptor air box lid. I'll email you a pic. Since they stick in to the air box about 3/4" keep them away from the snorkle so they don't block the air flow. Where I have mine I think water would enter the snorkle before the Uni Vents.

If you keep the holes small enough you can use duct tape to cover them if you are facing very wet conditions, a lot of people cut the back 3" off the airbox but that's a one way mod there is nothing you can do to cover that back up, you can always get a waterproof outerwear and so long as your not using k&n filters you should be ok even if you do get some water in your airbox, the other option is get a prodesign pro-flow then you can ride with or without a cover alltogether
