Has anyone installed a dial-a-jet kit on a Wolverine before ? Sounds like a good idea but I was wondering if it really works and is worth $80.00.

Just wondering why you would want to use that? These were used more in snowmobiles with 2 strokes than 4 strokes. Just get yours jetted and running good and don't worry about it. It gets a lot colder up here and guys aren't having any troubles, even at -30. So I would just save your money

Default Dial A Jet

I have installed Dial A Jets in 3 Wolverines. We ride from sea level to 8000 ft. They work great. Type "dial a jet" into the search category on this forum and see all the positive results. The only real negative posts I've seen have been from nay-sayers who freely admit they have never used Dial A Jet or one guy who got mud into the air supply of the Dial A Jet. I mounted my air supply near handlebar level so I've had no problem. I also am not a big mud fan since I live in Arizona!!

I believe you can buy small filters for the dial a jet called a snorkel kit. It will help to keep the mud and dust out, form the looks of it.

Where I have my snorkels located, you would be hard pressed to get mud and water in them----unless you were submerged in mud!! There has to be a place on the machine that will not get splashed by mud and it should be easy to locate.

If you're adding a dial-A-Jet on your ATV, definitely get the snorket kit. The snorkle allows consistent clean air to flow into the carb - and remember the air from the DAJ is directly flowing air into the carb, not passing through the airfilter first. Consistent airflow from the snorkel through the DAJ is the best way to ensure top carb performance.

Could you just not route the hose into the top of the airbox?? If you get that much water it there you have other worrys.

cant route them into the airbox because they wouldnt work correctly.. they need to suck air in when you open up the carbs to give and extra squirt of fuel.. well when you suck all the air out of the airbox then they would starve and possibly suck gas up through those tubes... i have the snorkle kit (its all in a box now) and to be honest i drive through alot of water and mud and where i placed the snorkles i figured they wouldnt get as wet... (sandwiched between the gastank and a rubber mat that lays behind the radiator and ontop of the frame... mud/water still got to it... but again this is a raptor... not as water proofed as other atv's
