i have an 89 yamaha banshee and noticed that the frount wheel wiggles when i pull on it. Its not a big wiggle. I replaced all the bushings but it still dos it. I know mine has j-arms. do all j-armed banshees have this problem.

Could also be the ball-joints. Put a crate or jack stand under one side of the suspension at a time. Grab the wheel @ 6 and 12 O'clock and try to wiggle it. Watch one ball joint at a time while wiggling. Any slop? Hopefully not. If they are sloppy, you'll have to get new J-Arms as the ball joints are not rebuildable.

For new upper J-Arms or lower A-Arms look at the adds in the back of a Dirt wheels magazine. There's 3-5 businesses selling factory parts for less than the dealers prices. If you come across any used ones make sure to ask or see the condition of the ball joints. What you want is a joint that has no up & down or side sloppiness to it. The ball joints should not be loose. If good they shouldn't move when you flip the arm over & back a couple times. It will probably be tuff (near impossible) to find J-arms that aren't worn out. Your best bet for the J-Arms would be to by new ones. Note: As for the lower A-Arm's, they are the same from 87 to present, so if you need to replace them you usually can find good ones on either Ebay or a classified add. Often people put the after-market extended arms on there ATV's and sell their stock ones. Try to get the ones that have come off of newer years IE: 99 & up. That way you should get arms with minimal time on them that will in-turn last you quite a while.
