i flipped my rear lingage over about a month ago and have not had any problems. i am curious also if any long term damage will happen. but so far has been fine. it dropped down about 1.5 in. and the ride is better because of the lower center of gravity. i have also seen on ebay an adjustable linkage for around $50.
hope this helps!

Do a search on this topic and you will find lots of information on it. From the past posts, it looks like it will be OK if you don't jump but if you jump it could cause the frame to crack and also increased bottoming out. I left mine stock because of all the bad things I've read about flipping it. Just my two cents.
