light front end on 02 grizz
#13
Ya know,
I have been trying like heck to ride out a wheelie...everytime that i get her up there, the front just falls back down on me. The farthest that i have been able to go is only 10-15 feet. GRRRRR
I am doing the exhaust mod on Monday or Tuesday and see if that helps any..hehe

I have a winch and a milk crate atached to the front rack. I have not had a problem with the front end being light. I can keep it on the ground going up hills that i prefer to winch myself back down. most of them are hills that my xr 250 wont climb. maybe its because I automaticaly lean way over the handle bars, with one foot on the back of the back rack, this helps me to keep my weight forward and yet gives me alittle leverage if I have to jump clear and let her go. fortunately that has not happened yet.
As for frogmans question. I opened up the exhaust with a larger dump pipe. I gained alittle low end. I can bring it up in low range and it will hold it there as far as I want or am able to maintain my balance. So far I have managed about 100 yds on the back tires. I know that if I could get it up in high range, I could maintain alot more distance. Make sure the air in your tires is the same, it will tend to steer you to the side with the least amount.
Where I live, every thing is up or down. valley floor is 3500 ft and goes up to 8000-10,000ftin 2 - 5 miles.
Frogman: your post on the brake question did not show anything.
