I have the dual rating shock of custom Axis and it less tippy also I have wider A-arm.
It 1"forward and 3"out.
It all depending what kind of riding you do and peoples have their own prefernce of the shock they put on the bike.
I don't think Axis is overrated at all.
Just a better shock that all
