hey, im having problems with my banshee. i started it up today, let it run for a few min in neutral, then when i put it in gear and gave it some gas, the left pipe backfired a few times then it stalled. i thought it was nothing so i started it back up again and it did the same thing. the only chance i have to check over the machine is saturday morning, so i was just trying to get some ideas on what it may be. i was thinking my spark plugs fouled, bad gas, or water in my engine. ive basically ruled out the water in the engine though because i havent gone in any high water, just maybe half a foot.any help would be appreciated. thanks a lot

Switch the tank to reserve and try it again. If it is close to hitting reserve, the left carb won't get gas and the right one will.

whats the jetting? sounds like it loaded the cylinder with fuel from idling too long. Your plugs will have to be changed you have probably fouled them. Thats what I have gotten from your info. But WyoDuner is also right to so check your fuel then check plugs..

Sounds like a Spark plug problem. Buy a four stroke and that will solve all problems. jk

If nothing has changed, have a bud push start you.....then see if the problem still exists.

hey i changed my plugs this morning, runs fine now. the only question i have is that my dealer gave me be9 plugs istead of 8's. i know those are usually for bikes with modded engines and stuff but will it effect it if i stay with the 9 or should i go back to 8? thanks for the help

9's run a little cooler I believe, I have run 8's and 9's. I have 9's know but my shee is modded I would say that you can run the 9's but if you feel safer with the 8's bring em back. You should by a few extras incase it happens again.

You may foul easier with the 9's but definately get an extra set and put cvarry them around in the compartment for your toolkit (plus a wrench to change them of course). It would really suck to get stick out in the middle of nowhere because you didn't have a spare $2 spark plug.

Glad to hear you're running good now.
